Javes Lewis is a name that is familiar to many in the football world. As a former University of Oregon standout defensive back, Javes earned a full-athletic scholarship and went on to help lead the Ducks to the 2011 BCS National Championship. Although the Ducks lost, Javes is used to winning at the highest levels. His hardwork, focus and dedication landed him spots in the NFL as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs preseason squad (2011), and in the CFL as a member of the Toronto Argonauts (2011-2012). Javes understands and values the benefits of exercise and physical training, which ultimately led to his pursuit and achievement of Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
His path continued as he obtained his NASMs Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) credential so that he may use his athletic knowledge and experience to help other athletes achieve what he was able to accomplish and beyond. As a fitness professional Javes steps on to a new gridiron, the battle on obesity and other chronic diseases that affect our communities. His goal is to now use the same skills that helped propel him to the highest levels in football to a new defensive unit in health and fitness by helping motivate and excite people about the benefits of living healthy and active lifestyles.
My love of exercise and fitness developed at a young age. After I received a full-scholarship to the University of Oregon to play football, I was given the opportunity to reach for a bigger dream. In 2011, I was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs preseason squad.
Even with my success on the field, I found myself wanting to make an impact on the community around me. I realized that the obesity epidemic and the increasing rate of chronic illnesses are two issues that I would be able to address, therefore satisfying my passion of aiding my community. I decided to use my knowledge of sports, fitness, and physical training to help others reach their health and exercise goals. I obtained a Certified Physical Trainer credential and am working on obtaining a Performance Enhancement Specialist credential so that I am able to help you reach your goals.
After years of learning proper exercise techniques and improving my own physical fitness, I feel that it is important to give my knowledge to others. Exercise is an important part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and I am determined to help others overcome personal challenges to reach the best fitness level possible.
